CANACO forecasts increased sales in Mexico

The National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (CANACO) of Mexico City estimates that electronics and gadget stores will see a boost in sales due to Children’s Day celebrations. The agency estimates that the event will generate an economic impact of US$191 million.
Other business sectors expected to see increased sales include toy stores and department stores—as well as restaurants, movie theaters, amusement parks, and entertainment centers.
CANACO President Vicente Gutierrez Camposeco stated that the holiday has established itself as one of the busiest shopping days in Mexico City. This year, a positive trend in consumption is observed, reflecting both consumer confidence and the efforts of established businesses to offer attractive promotions.
CANACO called on the public to shop at formal businesses to ensure product quality and transaction security, thereby strengthening the local economy.
