Mexico-Japan: Facing investment opportunities & nearshoring

As Mexico continues to strengthen its business ties with the Asia-Pacific region, Humberto Esqueda, chairman of COMCE’s Mexico-Korea Bilateral Business Committee, participated in a high-level meeting with representatives of the Japan Business Federation (KEIDANREN); one of the country’s most influential business organizations, which brings together leading companies, industry associations, and regional economic organizations in Tokyo.

Japan has historically been a key partner for Mexico in sectors such as automotive, auto parts, advanced manufacturing, electronics, technology, logistics, and industrial innovation. Therefore, meetings with organizations like KEIDANREN help open avenues for collaboration among companies, chambers of commerce, investors, and institutions involved in foreign trade.

Dialogue with KEIDANREN helps move in that direction by creating a forum for exchange among business leaders who can identify concrete opportunities for industrial cooperation, investment, and commercial expansion.

For Mexico, building business bridges with Japan and other Asia-Pacific countries will be key to taking advantage of nearshoring, diversifying trading partners, and establishing itself as a manufacturing, logistics, and technology hub with global reach.
