Fanuc Mexico presents cobots for collaborative manufacturing

Collaborative automation, the integration of smart systems, and the evolution of advanced manufacturing were key components of the strategy presented by Fanuc Mexico during FABTECH Mexico 2026.
The new system features faster processing speeds, a redesigned control panel to simplify programming, and cybersecurity tools tailored for connected industrial environments.
Among the solutions on display was a collaborative robot with a payload capacity of 30 kilograms and a reach of nearly two meters, considered by the company to be one of the highest-capacity cobots currently available on the market; the cell integrates area sensors that automatically stop the welding process when a person enters the workspace, with the aim of reducing risks and facilitating human-robot interaction within the plant.
The system uses visual intelligence to detect parts, determine their position, and decide whether they can be handled correctly or temporarily set aside, facilitating applications for sorting and handling bulk products.
