Guanajuato connects companies with Toyotetsu de Mexico

Guanajuato reinforced its strategy to strengthen the automotive supply chain by connecting 23 local suppliers with Toyotetsu de Mexico, a Japanese company that specializes in manufacturing auto parts for some of the world’s leading automakers.

The strategy is part of the economic policy promoted by the Government of Guanajuato to strengthen local supply, generate new opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and consolidate the state as one of the country’s leading hubs for investment and advanced manufacturing.

Toyotetsu de Mexico has positioned itself as a strategic supplier to the automotive industry by manufacturing components used in vehicles from brands such as Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Honda, and Subaru. Its presence in Guanajuato has contributed to strengthening the industrial ecosystem of the Laja-Bajio region and to the growth of a network of specialized suppliers.

In addition to its leadership in manufacturing, Toyotetsu operates in 10 countries and employs more than 14,000 people worldwide. The company has also been recognized for its social responsibility practices, regional development, and creation of high-performance work environments—elements that contribute to its sustained growth within the global automotive industry.

Guanajuato continues to promote business meetings between leading companies and local suppliers to increase regional content in production chains. This strategy aims to combine attracting investment with strengthening the local business community, generating greater opportunities for economic growth, employment, and competitiveness for the state.
