First building at AREYA Escobedo Industrial Park starts

The Escobedo government handed over the first warehouse at the Areya Escobedo Industrial Park: a facility that will be renovated to house a new Mercado Libre distribution center, a project expected to create more than 2,000 permanent jobs.
With this, Mercado Libre will begin work on renovating and equipping the industrial warehouse as part of the launch of a logistics center that will strengthen its operational capacity in the state.
The start of operations at the Areya Escobedo Industrial Park also represents a step toward consolidating the municipality’s industrial infrastructure; the potential to accommodate up to eight companies within the complex will allow for the diversification of economic activity and the creation of new job opportunities as the project progresses.
Likewise, municipal authorities emphasized that this type of investment contributes to local economic growth by driving job creation, attracting private capital, and strengthening Escobedo’s competitiveness as a hub for industrial and logistics activities.
The project also aligns with the objectives of the Plan Mexico initiative promoted by Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, which aims to drive economic development, create jobs, and attract productive investments in different regions of the country.
