Audi Mexico contributes to the SeaFinder project

The ocean regeneration initiative “SeaFinder is the second pioneering project to come to fruition thanks to a financial donation from Audi de Mexico to the Center for Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, A.C., one of the three organizations benefiting from the donation derived from the special sale of the first Audi R8 das Finale, thereby reinforcing the brand’s commitment to the environment and remaining true to its values of responsibility and social impact.

This initiative aims to contribute to the environmental restoration of the bay through waste recovery, the rehabilitation of marine ecosystems, and the implementation of preventive measures.

The plan included the construction of a lightweight recovery platform capable of moving up to 1.5 metric tons of debris, the deployment of specialized diving teams, and coordination with local authorities to ensure the safe disposal of the recovered materials.

By March 2026 alone, the project had already removed approximately 50 metric tons of polluting waste.

Additionally, the project seeks to align with international commitments such as the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and thereby protect key economic activities such as tourism and fishing, which depend directly on the health of the bay.
