The JAC 4 2027 SUV, coming to Mexico

JAC Mexico unveiled the new JAC 4 2027: the first model in its 2027 lineup to bear the “Made in Mexico” badge, an SUV assembled at the Giant Motors Latinoamerica (GML) plant in Hidalgo, which is part of the brand’s strategy to strengthen domestic manufacturing as the company prepares to begin exporting vehicles produced in Mexico to Latin American markets.

During the presentation, the company highlighted that the new SUV features 43 improvements over the previous generation, resulting from customer feedback and the evolving preferences of Mexican consumers. Priced at US$21,120, JAC aims to position the JAC 4 in a broader segment, offering a package focused on design, technology, safety, and features.

The SUV is equipped with a 134-hp engine, reaches a top speed of 170 km/h, and offers a cargo capacity of up to 1,050 liters in the trunk. Inside, it features a 12.8-inch screen compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 540° camera that expands visibility around the vehicle and helps detect blind spots.

This investment will also allow Giant Motors Latinoamerica to begin a new phase of its industrial strategy by exporting JAC vehicles assembled in Mexico to various markets in Latin America.
