Huatai Mould, to invest US$30 million in automotive supply chain

Huatai Mould announced an investment of more than US$30 million to build a new production plant in Aguascalientes: a project expected to create 250 jobs and aimed at strengthening the automotive industry’s supply chain in Mexico and North America.

Tere Jimenez, the state’s governor, emphasized that the company’s arrival represents a boost for high-tech manufacturing and reinforces the state’s position as a destination for new industrial investments.

During the meeting, the governor noted that the project will contribute to the development of the automotive sector by adding new production capacity and creating specialized jobs.

The investment includes the construction and commissioning of a plant specializing in the design and manufacture of high and low-pressure die-casting molds, as well as aluminum and zinc components for the automotive industry. The project will also include tooling, precision machining, and assembly processes, expanding the range of specialized supply chain services for the sector.

The plant will be located in the La Aurora industrial park, in the municipality of San Francisco de los Romo, and is expected to begin operations toward the end of 2026.

With this investment, the company will expand its capacity to serve automotive manufacturers from a strategic location within the North American market, while Aguascalientes will gain a new supplier specializing in casting processes, mold manufacturing, and metal components for the industry.
