Hansol Technics will set up operations in San Luis Potosi

The South Korean company Hansol Technics announced the establishment of a subsidiary in Mexico as part of its strategy to strengthen its presence in the North American automotive electronics market. The new operation will be located in San Luis Potosi and will serve as the company’s production base for the region.

The decision is part of a plan to expand Hansol Technics’ global manufacturing network—which is currently concentrated in Asia—into North America. Through this move, the company aims to specialize the functions of its various production plants to increase its manufacturing competitiveness, improve the profitability of its operations, and respond more quickly to its customers’ needs.

According to the company, North America represents one of the world’s most important automotive markets, with approximately 16 million vehicles sold. In this context, the demand for local sourcing of electronic components for the automotive industry continues to grow, which prompted the establishment of a manufacturing platform in Mexico.

The subsidiary in San Luis Potosi will focus on the production of various electronic components for vehicles. Among the products it will manufacture are electronic transmission units, LED lighting systems for interiors and exteriors, and wireless charging modules.
