Inventec to invest US$450 million in Ciudad Juárez

Inventec is a multinational high-tech company founded in Taipei, Taiwan. It has distinguished itself through the design and manufacture of servers, artificial intelligence, and electronics. It is also an integral part of global value chains and operates in highly specialized sectors.

Chihuahua has been one of the main exporters of computer and artificial intelligence equipment to the United States, which is why the company has launched an expansion project in Ciudad Juárez, involving an investment of US$450 million, to create up to 6,000 high-value jobs, according to the state government.

The Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development attended the ceremony marking the laying of the project’s cornerstone, alongside the agency’s head, Ulises Fernandez Gamboa, who noted that when a company is already operating in a certain region, it is common for it to continue expanding there, which demonstrates that the conditions are in place to invest, create opportunities, and strengthen its presence.

Finally, the official also added that reinvestment would reflect the necessary confidence and results, as well as signify that the company has found the talent, competitiveness, and certainty to continue investing in the community and the future.
