The 12th International Sustainability Forum.

Government officials, business representatives, and national and international experts have gathered at the 12th International Forum on Sustainability and Social Responsibility, held at the Hotsson Hotel in León, Guanajuato.
Organized by the Mexico–United States Chamber of Commerce, Guanajuato Chapter, and the Bajío Center for Cleaner Production, this forum aims to promote sustainability as a driver for strengthening organizations’ competitiveness, resilience, and capacity for innovation.
Under the slogan “12 Years, One Mission: More Sustainable Businesses”, the event promoted the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and best practices to optimize resources, reduce environmental impacts, strengthen social development, and generate shared value in the Bajío region.
Several officials from Guanajuato attended the inauguration, including Cristina Villaseñor, Secretary of Economy for the State of Guanajuato; Jorge Daniel Jiménez Lona, Secretary of the Interior for the State of Guanajuato; Juan Pablo Becerra Alcacio, Director of Economic Affairs for the Municipality of León; and José Zozaya, Chairman of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, among others
During the welcome remarks, the representatives spoke about the importance of sustainability and how it should be incorporated as a strategic component of competitiveness and regional development. They also emphasized the importance of creating conditions that allow companies to develop new capabilities, strengthen collaboration among different stakeholders, and recognize that economic growth cannot be separated from environmental and social responsibility.
