PESMA gives a US$50 Million investment for the San Miguel Business Park.

The San Miguel de Allende Business Park (PESMA) has commissioned a new electrical substation with an investment of nearly US$50 million, a transformation capacity of 100 MVA, and infrastructure designed to meet the demand of businesses in the region and facilitate the arrival of new companies and industrial projects.

The substation was developed through a joint effort involving the private sector, Nacional Financiera (Nafin), and the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), with the goal of improving access to and availability of electricity for manufacturing companies operating in the industrial park.

At the start of the operation, carried out as part of the Guanajuato Suma program, Manuel Madrazo, CEO of the San Miguel de Allende Business Park and Corral Energy, emphasized that the energy infrastructure will enable the complex to accommodate industries with higher electricity requirements.

The 100 MVA capacity is also intended to make PESMA a hub for energy-intensive projects, such as data centers, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence technologies, industrial automation, and robotics. Neither the load capacity nor the connection schedules for the projects that could be installed under these conditions have been specified yet.

The expansion of the electrical infrastructure is part of the range of services available at the industrial park, including water supply, wastewater treatment, natural gas, and fiber optics—features that enhance the conditions supporting the establishment and operation of industrial and technology companies.

With the variety of projects and the expansion of PESMA’s infrastructure, San Miguel de Allende hopes to strengthen its position as a destination for industrial investment, while Guanajuato continues to allocate resources to infrastructure that can increase productive capacity and job creation in its municipalities.
