Kia EV3 Price Revealed for the United States

Kia America announced that the new EV3 subcompact electric vehicle will have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $29,890, plus a $1,495 shipping and delivery fee, making it the most affordable zero-emission model in the South Korean brand’s lineup.

The final price of $31,385 applies to the front-wheel-drive Light trim, while the Wind trim raises the price to $36,485; adding all-wheel drive (AWD) increases the price by another $3,700.

The front-wheel-drive Land version starts at $39,985 and requires an additional $3,200 to add all-wheel drive.

The GT models have a final price of $44,985 for the GT-Line version, which includes all-wheel drive as standard, while the top-of-the-line GT version starts at $47,385.

Although the newest addition to the Kia family falls short in terms of affordability compared to competitors such as the Nissan Leaf and the recently revived Chevrolet Bolt, it’s worth noting that neither of these two options offers all-wheel-drive versions.

The new EV3, whose production began at the Pesquería plant in Nuevo León earlier this month, joins a new generation of electric vehicles starting at less than $30,000, in which the most affordable model so far is the Slate Truck, a semi-compact single-cab pickup that was just launched with a starting price of $25,000.

Another option that does not yet have a final version, but for which the price has already been announced, is the Ford Fathom EV, the compact pickup from Ford that will start at $28,350, not including shipping charges.

The EV3, which will debut as a 2027 model later this year, was designed to drive the adoption of electric vehicles, offering a design inspired by the EV9, advanced technology, and everyday practicality in a compact crossover.

The model offers up to 517 kilometers (321 miles) of electric range in the Wind FWD and Land FWD trims, DC fast-charging capability, and a seamless transition from the well-equipped Light trim to the dynamic GT.

The dual-motor all-wheel-drive option, the 288-horsepower (hp) GT model, and optional premium features further enhance the EV3’s appeal to meet the needs of a wide range of customers.
