Nuevo León is developing new industrial hubs

Industrial activity, logistics, and the influx of investment in Nuevo León now have a new focus outside the Monterrey metropolitan area. The state has decided to prepare for the opening of new economic development hubs, located in the eastern and northern parts of the state, with a plan designed to decentralize the inflow of capital, distribute production chains, and support the growing demand for specialized spaces linked to the international market.

During Governor Samuel Garcia’s report, it was confirmed that the Pesqueria and Colombia-Anahuac areas could be considered the two key hubs for the restructuring of the state. The strategy aims to link industrial growth to a broader distribution of investment flows, so that infrastructure expansion can help reach new regions. The goal is to propose the restructuring of new production and logistics corridors that can improve the state’s competitiveness.

In Pesqueria, the project would involve a 168.89-hectare industrial park with infrastructure and industrial land, with the goal of attracting electromobility and advanced logistics operations. Projections call for more than US$17.6 million in anchor investment, in addition to creating 3,000 direct and related jobs.

Meanwhile, the Colombia-Anahuac hub will strengthen the logistics sector in northern Nuevo León, with the hope of opening up new opportunities in international trade, distribution, and warehousing.

Both projects aim to diversify the state’s industrial real estate offerings, reaffirming its competitive position in global supply chains without relying solely on metropolitan areas.
