C3ntro Telecom Will Invest US$14.6 Million in Aguascalientes

C3ntro Telecom has announced an investment of US$14.6 million in Aguascalientes as part of the TIKVA project, a digital infrastructure strategy that calls for the development of a 2,500-kilometer high-capacity fiber-optic network between Mexico and the United States.

The project aims to strengthen digital connectivity in the North–Bajío corridor, as well as to develop infrastructure between Querétaro and Phoenix, Arizona, crossing eight states in the country, including Aguascalientes. According to the company, construction is more than 85% complete.

As part of that investment, the first of 34 data centers expected to be established as part of the TIKVA project was inaugurated. The facility is located south of the municipality of Aguascalientes and is part of the infrastructure the company will develop in the state.

During the event, Simón Masri Askenazi, founder and chairman of the Board of Directors of C3ntro Telecom, noted that the project in Aguascalientes includes the installation of more than 100 km of fully underground fiber-optic backbone, as well as the operation of the data center, which has already begun operations.

The infrastructure is part of a 2,500-kilometer network that will connect Querétaro with Phoenix, Arizona, and will traverse eight states. The company reports that construction is currently more than 85% complete.
