Zacatecas and Jalisco Sign an Economic Cooperation
Zacatecas Secretary of Economy Jorge Miranda Castro and his counterpart from Jalisco, Ciny Blanco Ochoa, have signed the Strategic Agreement for Economic Cooperation between the two states. The agreement aims to strengthen economic and productive ties, foster investment opportunities, support industrial activity, promote innovation, and expand marketing channels.
According to the Zacatecas government, the document outlines actions to strengthen the automotive cluster and promote advanced manufacturing. In addition, it includes measures to improve connectivity—particularly the Zacatecas-Guadalajara air route—as well as to boost business tourism, host trade shows, and implement workforce mobility programs.
Another key point is industrial integration and supplier development through closer collaboration among companies to expand supply chains and forge new business ties. The agreement aims to develop the Sacatecas-Jalisco Agri-Food Corridor, focusing on the production, processing, distribution, and marketing of products in the sector.
In addition, plans are in place to create an Interstate Innovation Center for Value-Added Mining, Agriculture, and Manufacturing, which aims to develop projects in automation, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and e-commerce.
