IMMEX BC Reports US$1.9 Billion in Foreign Revenue

Manufacturing companies participating in the INMEX Program in Baja California reported US$1.9 billion in revenue from the foreign market in July 2026, an increase of US$201 million—equivalent to 11.7 percent—compared to the same month in 2025, according to the Secretary of Economy and Innovation, Kurt Honold Morales, according to figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi).

The number of employees fell from 344,297 to 337,039, a year-over-year decline of 2.1%, while hours worked decreased by 1.2%.

Revenue from abroad per employed person increased by 14.1%, while revenue per hour worked rose by 13.1%. Similarly, total compensation paid to employees increased by 4.8%, from US$678.8 million to US$710.9 million.

In Mexicali, the number of employed workers increased by 3.2%, while hours worked rose by 3.7%. Revenue from abroad grew by 6.1%, and revenue from the domestic market rose by 10.2%. The latter accounted for 23.6% of the municipality’s IMMEX revenue, compared with 10.7% for the state as a whole.
