Automotive & Aerospace Nearshoring Summit 2026 Arrived in Chihuahua

The international company and magazine MEXICONOW held the fourth edition of its Automotive & Aerospace Nearshoring Summit Chihuahua 2026, where more than 150 exhibiting companies, 25 speakers, and approximately 2,000 B2B meetings took place over two days, with the goal of opening new doors for various manufacturing companies, suppliers, and others to establish business connections.

The event took place near the Chihuahua Convention Center and featured an exhibition with more than 150 companies, which shared and negotiated new proposals to boost the industry in Chihuahua, Mexico, and North America.

The event featured the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, where representatives from the Chihuahua Automotive Cluster, the Chihuahua Aerospace Cluster, the state government, and MEXICONOW itself gathered to discuss and highlight why Chihuahua is one of the best destinations for industry in Mexico.

Led by Ulises Fernandez, Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, and featuring a presentation by Sergio Ornelas, editor-in-chief of MEXICONOW magazine, representatives from the Automotive and Aerospace clusters delivered remarks highlighting the industry’s work in Chihuahua—with more than 20 years of experience, a solid supplier network, and companies capable of meeting the new demands of the manufacturing sectors.

Similarly, Ulises Fernandez praised the work that has been done in Chihuahua to foster its growth and development.

The event featured a series of presentations on each of the clusters, with participation from companies such as Bell Mexico, Honeywell Aerospace, BioEsol, Safran Ecosystems, Yazaki Mexico, Ford Motor, TKonsult, Intermex, American Industries, J.D. Power, SOISA Aircraft Interiors, RECARO, Century Mold, Clayens, J.A. del Rio, Santamarina + Steta, and Grupo Bafar. Also in attendance were organizations such as AMDA (Association of Automotive Distributors) and FEMIA (Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry).

In addition to the B2B meetings, where companies could meet to negotiate agreements through pre-scheduled appointments, there were interviews with exhibitors and speakers, as well as visits with students aimed at developing industrial talent. Similarly, the luncheon sponsored by Fibra Nova and the farewell cocktail reception sponsored by Intermex took place; both events were packed with speakers, business leaders, and representatives who had the opportunity to network and integrate Chihuahua’s automotive and aerospace industrial supply chains to foster their growth.
