Querétaro Projects Investments Worth Over US$449 Billion
The state is overseeing 40 projects that have the potential to create 10,252 jobs and attract more than US$449 billion in investment, according to information shared by Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (SEDESU).
During the first regular session of the plenary meeting of the Citizen Participation Council on Employment Promotion and Economic Development, the official presented an overview of the state’s current situation and its prospects for development, with an emphasis on investment opportunities and job creation.
The figures represent potential jobs associated with planned projects; therefore, they reflect an expected increase and do not necessarily represent jobs that have already been created.
In addition, the economic outlook for Querétaro was presented, and Del Prete Tercero discussed the initiatives promoted by SEDESU to boost employment and encourage the creation of new businesses.
These measures are intended to strengthen businesses’ capabilities and simplify their participation in commercial activities through tools that help improve their visibility and readiness to enter new markets.
Among the initiatives presented are also subprograms aimed at regional strengthening, support for economic sectors, and support for household economies.
These tools are linked to the state’s strategy to boost economic activity and support various sectors, in conjunction with the investment and job creation opportunities identified in the state.
With the 40 projects reported, Querétaro has established a portfolio of opportunities that could result in more than US$449 billion in investment and 10,252 potential jobs. Meanwhile, SEDESU’s programs focus on fostering business competitiveness, expanding business networking opportunities, and supporting regional economic development.
