Aguascalientes will strengthen aerospace development

MEXICO CITY - The Mexican Federation of the Aerospace Industry (Femia), which groups the main exporting companies with operations in the country, held its General Assembly in Aguascalientes, and during this event, executives of the organization met with the governor of this entity, María Teresa Jiménez, to promote the development of the aerospace industry in the state.

It is worth mentioning that the state already has 19 companies in the aerospace supply chain and one of the three innovation centers in the country, which guarantees access to cutting-edge technology and specialized training.

As part of the objective of strengthening the aerospace industry in the state, the Secretariat of Economic Development, Science and Technology of Aguascalientes and FEMIA made a strategic alliance.

During the meeting, the local governor highlighted that in Aguascalientes some higher education institutions are actively participating in projects and activities related to the aerospace industry to prepare and train future generations of professionals, so that they can take advantage of the opportunities presented by this constantly evolving activity.

Luis Lizcano, executive president of FEMIA, stated that Aguascalientes' solid experience, especially in the automotive sector, favors its entry into the aerospace industry, which has a great global projection and has registered an average growth of more than 12% in Mexico in recent years.
