Aludec invests US$7 million in Puebla

PUEBLA – Secretaria de Competitividad, Trabajo y Desarrollo Economico (SECOTRADE)  confirmed the investment of the Spanish company Aludec in Puebla, which will generate up to 100 new jobs by supplying to companies such as Ford, BMW, Nissan, Daimler, Peugeot and Citroen.

The investment project of Aludec Automoción will be carried out to activate a galvanoplasty line and it is expected that by 2023, when it is completed, the number of jobs will increase to 400 numbers will go from 100 to 400 positions.

Aludec, with a history of 30 years, is a Tier 1 Spanish supplier with 400 employees at an international level, dedicated to develop and produce original components of automotive exterior and interior decoration, so said investment will bring a big growth to its global workforce.

Jaime Oropeza Salas, head of SECOTRADE, explained that this investment was the result of an agreement between the secretariat and the Spanish company to occupy two ships of 17,000 square meters in the municipality of Huejotzingo.

The minister added that during 2019 there has been a total investment that amounts to US$ 189.5 million, creating more than 1,900 direct and 500 indirect jobs.
