STATE OF MEXICO – The National Association of Bus, Truck and Tractor-Truck Producers (ANPACT) received from the Government of the State of Mexico the Orange Distinction for Equality in Business 2022-2023.

This distinction is a recognition granted by the Secretary of Women of the State of Mexico, in collaboration with the Secretary of Economic Development and the Secretary of Labor of the state, to private companies, associations and workers' unions that implement good practices in terms of labor equality between women and men.

The purpose of the Distintivo Naranja is to recognize and promote the implementation of good practices in the area of labor equality between women and men, aimed at combating violence in the workplace and promoting the access, permanence, empowerment and personal development of women in the workplace.

The award recognizes the implementation of good practices in five substantive aspects:

  • Labor equality and non-discrimination policy
  • Groups or committees for labor equality and non-discrimination.
  • Empowerment of women
  • Reconciliation of work and family life
  • Business development, supply chain and marketing practices.

Virginia Olalde, director of foreign trade and economic studies of ANPACT, who received the award on behalf of the Association, commented that "having obtained the Orange Distinction from the Government of the State of Mexico is very valuable for the Association since it helped to identify the efforts that have been implemented over the years in ANPACT in favor of gender equality and ratifies our commitment to create better opportunities for women in the sector, which is a benchmark of good practices.

“We thank the Government of the State of Mexico for this recognition and reaffirm our commitment to continue implementing actions to promote gender equality within the Association and in the heavy vehicle manufacturing industry,” added Olalde.
