Japan-based automotive seats manufacturer Tachi-S announced a US$ 10 million investment to build a Research and Development Center where the company will test products made by its Mexican and Brazilian subsidiaries.

CEO Taguchi San and Senior Executive Officer of the Administration and Management Division, Yuichiro Yamamoto, disclosed the plans during a press conference in recent days.

The facilities will be located in Aguascalientes and will start operations by early 2017.

This Center is going to provide technical support and certification to seats made in Mexico and Brazil for assemblers such as Nissan and Honda. It will employ 40 people in its first stage and it will create up to 100 positions in its final stage.
