Texas-based steel and aluminum bar grating manufacturer Harsco Industrial IKG recently broke ground in the municipality of El Marqués, Querétaro to build a new production facility.

The company plans to invest US$17 million in the plant, located in the Advance industrial park. A total 158 job positions will be opened in order to start operations.

Harsco Industrial IKG, founded in 1969 as IKG Industries, designs and manufactures steel and aluminum bar grating products for commercial and industrial applications.

Its bar grating products include stock panels, fabricated grating, mezzanine grating, stock welded steel grating and aluminum grating panels, and safety products.

The company also provides powder coat finish as a paint for bar grating, as well as specialty products, such as swaged, safe-T-grid, and pressure locked and heavy weld grating products.

“We will have one of the best equipment in the industry, we are very excited about what that brings in our future. We hope to maintain our leadership not only in Mexico but in other places in Latin America,” said at the ceremony Chad McCledon, vice president and general manager of Harsco Industrial IKG.
