TULTITLAN – Alex Attlesey, Coatings America’s vice president; Christopher Toomey, senior vice president of coatings America and Claus Wünschmann, president of BASF for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, inaugurated the expansion of BASF's Base Agua automotive paint production plant located in Tultitlán, State of Mexico.

"Through this project, BASF ensures the development of skilled labor and high productivity that aim to position the Water Base technology in the industry, keeping innovation as the main engine of the company and its productive chain," stated the company.

Since the Mexican automotive industry reported a 3.9 million vehicle production, "the transformation of our plant will generate significant growth in our division," said Alex Attlesey.

During the inauguration event, Christopher Toomey, stressed that through sustainable ways, said plant produces customized automotive coatings for original equipment manufacturers in Mexico, the United States and Canada.
