BMW Mexico keeps growing against all odds

MEXICO – For the BMW Group, 2019 will not only be a better year, but a "special" one in Mexico, since  the company had 1.6% increase in sales during 2018, which contrasts with the fall of the rest of the industry.

Alexander Wehr, CEO of BMW Latin America, stated that by the end of 2018, the company’s sales had a record in Mexico.

From January to April of this year, BMW sold 6,312 units against 6,215 in the same period of the previous year, which means a 1.6% increase, while the automotive industry in general fell 3.9% in that period.

"Yes it is a difficult and volatile year, but we have there are other factors that will turn 2019 into a good year", as the sale of MINI special edition, said the director of the German group.

We also have a special year for us, we have already launched an electric corridor from Mexico City to San Luis Potosí. The CEO of the automotive recalled that on June 6 will be inaugurated the BMW plant in San Luis Potosí.
