MX Space has confidence in Mexico’s space industry
MEXICO – The MX Space Cluster, a group of entrepreneurs whose goal is to boost the space industry in our country and attract investment to create jobs, confirmed their confidence in Mexico and its potential in the aerospace sector.
In a meeting held by the Mexican Space Agency (AEM), the MX Space’s leaders reiterated their deep commitment to boost the country’s space innovation.
“We are working hard to promote the young minds of Mexico and all their talent towards this productive sector, which is already the immediate future throughout the world,”
This was expressed by the MX Space’s chairman, José Oldak, who highlighted his close collaboration with the Aerospace Cluster of Baja California (Baja Aerospace), which, chaired by Dr. Tomás Sibaja, concentrates nearly 100 companies, and has already generated up to 35,000 jobs in the region.
In addition, the general director of MX Space, José Humberto Torres Spain, also recalled the recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Paris Air Show with the company Glavkosmos JSC. These strategic alliances, he said, will allow actions such as the launch of at least 10 femtosatellites by 2020 as well as the production of satellites for different services, space operations, launching ports for nanosatellites, reception and transmission of data, and training of specialized personnel.
