CFE aims to install electrical substations in Mexicali

The National Chamber of the Manufacturing Industry (CANACINTRA) in Mexicali announced that the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) is seeking land in the state for the construction of power substations to improve the efficiency of the distribution grid.

The president of CANACINTRA Mexicali, Maria Teresa Babun Villareal, noted that the intention is for the municipal government to donate the required land, adding that the CFE has the necessary budget to carry out the projects.

Regarding the inauguration of the “Gonzalez Ortega” Combined Cycle Power Plant by President Claudia Sheinbaum, the businesswoman added that the plant only handles power generation, while infrastructure for the transformation and distribution of electricity to benefit users is still lacking.
