Chang Sung inaugurates its first plant in Querétaro

QUERETARO - The Korean company Chang Sung Corporation inaugurated its first plant in Querétaro, dedicated to the manufacture of metal powder.

The investment exceeds US$13 million to install machinery and equipment to manufacture metal powder, explained the Secretary of Sustainable Development (Sedesu), Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero.

The vice-president of Chang Sung Group, Bae Dong Hyun, explained that the installation of the new plant is due to the growth of the energy and automotive components businesses that the company serves, as well as the fact that the state represents a strategic production point.

The firm envisions this unit as the starting point for its expansion in the Americas, as well as for exploring emerging markets.

"We are committed to doing our utmost to make Chang Sung's Mexico plant a world-leading production center for advanced materials and components, surpassing our success in Korea," he said.

According to information from Sedesu, this space is expected to generate 150 jobs by the end of 2024.
