CHG-MERIDIAN expects to grow 30% in Mexico
CHG-MERIDIAN Mexico expects its portfolio to grow by 30% in 2026, with the northern part of the country and Monterrey as priority markets, given the demand for financing solutions on assets, industrial projects, technology, and corporate fleets.
The company, which specializes in asset lifecycle management and leasing solutions, maintains more than 40% of its portfolio in the northern region, where it identifies opportunities related to manufacturing, the integration of global supply chains, and the influx of new productive investments.
“We expect to continue the significant growth of this year; we’re projecting 30% growth in our portfolio, and here in the region, we have a clear understanding of that growth and have it firmly in place,” said Adrián Puente, commercial director of CHG-MERIDIAN Mexico.
Among the sectors with the greatest potential demand are manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, logistics, retail, financial services, and digital infrastructure. The adoption of artificial intelligence also opens up opportunities for financing computing, storage, and data processing equipment, which must be capable of being upgraded as organizations’ technological requirements increase.
The executive acknowledged a shift in the way organizations approach technology acquisitions. Asset ownership is becoming less important than its availability and capacity to maintain a competitive edge, particularly for equipment that is technologically outdated or requires constant maintenance.
“Because of the investment in maintenance and the insistence on continuing to use the same equipment, it often ends up being more expensive than switching to a leasing arrangement and getting new technology,” he emphasized.
The purchase price represents only a portion of the total cost of an industrial or technological asset. The company needs to analyze the total cost of the ownership by comparing a traditional purchase with a lease arrangement, since it must consider not only the initial outlay but also the costs associated with the operation, maintenance, and eventual replacement of the assets. In addition, the availability of working capital is another factor that influences investment decisions.
According to the executive, CHG-MERIDIAN is able to participate in processes related to advance payments to suppliers, importation, installation, and commissioning of equipment through a financing arrangement in which the customer’s payments begin once the assets are operational, in accordance with the agreed-upon terms.
