Chihuahua Students Join Aerospace Network

Engineering students from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH) have joined the first National Student Committee of the Mexican Council for Aerospace Education (COMEA), gaining opportunities to participate in collaborative academic initiatives, technology projects, and activities related to the aerospace industry.

The official appointments were announced during COMEA’s Second Ordinary General Assembly of 2026, held at the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (FIME) of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL) as part of celebrations marking the school’s 79th anniversary.

Through this committee, students from Chihuahua will join a national network connecting young people from universities affiliated with COMEA to develop academic projects, strengthen technological skills, and promote science outreach activities.

The committee also aims to strengthen ties between academic programs and the aerospace industry while facilitating knowledge exchange among students from universities across Mexico. The initiative will help participants develop leadership, organizational, and project management skills through collaboration with other educational institutions.

UACH’s participation in this initiative reinforces its commitment to educating students interested in technological innovation and developing projects that contribute to Mexico’s aerospace industry.
