CHL/Henglong in Coahuila: Invests US$42 million

The global company CHL/Henglong México Automotive finalized a US$42 million investment project in Saltillo, Coahuila, with the goal of establishing operations focused on manufacturing steering systems for the automotive and commercial vehicle industries. The company’s arrival will strengthen the regional supply chain and create 162 new jobs.

The investment was announced during an event with state and municipal officials, which highlighted the Chinese firm’s integration into the industrial ecosystem of southeastern Coahuila.

The company specializes in the production of steering systems and components, including power steering systems—parts considered strategic in vehicle manufacturing due to their importance for the operation and safety of cars and commercial vehicles.

Its decision to establish itself in Saltillo was based on the region’s geographic advantages, the development of the automotive cluster, and favorable conditions for business operations.

The project involves an investment that will be carried out in two phases and will expand the presence of Asian capital within the Mexican automotive sector, particularly in the manufacturing of specialized auto parts.
