Michigan-based ConForm Automotive builds a new facility in the Colinas del Sol Industrial Park, located in Leon, Guanajuato, where the company will manufacture floor carpets, rear compartment trims, load floors, plastic assemblies, package shelves and cut leather sets.
The 107,000 square-feet facility, built by Grupo Lintel, is currently 60% complete. The plant is expected to become operational by the end of this year.Â
This is ConForm Automotive second plant in Mexico. The company also operates a facility in Saltillo dedicated to cutting leather sets.Â
The Company supplies parts for several automakers, but one of its main customers in General Motors, which last year recognized ConForm Automotive as one of three recipients for its prestigious Overdrive Award.
The honor recognizes supply partners for extraordinary leadership in cultural change and commitment initiatives that drove exceptional business results for GM.
