Cummins Receives the ELSSA Award

Cummins has officially received the ELSSA (Safe and Healthy Work Environments) Award, presented by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in coordination with the Government of the State of San Luis Potosí

This recognition attests to the ongoing efforts of the company’s employees and leaders to identify risks, propose operational improvements, and reinforce a culture of continuous prevention at its worksites throughout the state.

The ceremony was attended by Cummins’ executive leadership; Gaspar Aguilar, Director of New and ReCon Parts Mexico and Head of Cummins Hispanoamérica; Bob Chestnut, Chief Medical Executive at Cummins; Miguel Medina, Head of Government Relations for Hispanoamérica; and Franco Osuna, Director of Power Systems, along with their operational teams and leaders from various areas of the plant.

Similarly, officials from the Government of San Luis Potosí and representatives from the Mexican Social Security Institute participated, including: Mario García Valdés, Secretary of Economic Development (SEDECO), Crisógono Sánchez Lara, Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS); Ana Elba Serna Martínez, Alma Gabriela Méndez Guerrero, Cynthia Elizabeth Munguía Guzmán, and Daniel Alexandro Leija Calderón, representing the IMSS.

Company executives shared that creating safe and healthy work environments is a daily effort made possible by the collective commitment of their team. They emphasized that the award reflects the shared responsibility of making prevention a consistent practice.

With this distinction, Cummins reaffirms its position as a leader in the manufacturing industry in central Argentina, aligning its operational standards with international best practices in occupational health and safety.
