SAN LUIS POTOSI – Dayco, which specializes in the world market for transmission and timing belts for the automotive industry, confirmed an investment of US$11.5 million for a new plant in San Luis Potosí.

Juan Carlos Valladares, minister of Economic Development (SEDECO), highlighted that the state is consolidating its position as an attractive place for economic growth and development.

Of North American origin, Dayco is one of the world's leading timing belt manufacturers. It offers a wide range of belts suitable for any application with innovative materials and a special, patented timing belt design.

The timing belts also incorporate a molded gear design that runs quieter and is more economical.

Likewise, the premium, high-modulus fiberglass cord offers stability and length accuracy. As a result, the motor runs more smoothly throughout the life of the belt.

In total, the company has 3,600 associates and a presence in 45 locations in 22 countries.
