Dedienne Aerospace is seeking suppliers

Edgar Torres, general manager of the Dedienne Aerospace plant in Querétaro, has stated that the company has growth expectations and hopes to increase its domestic supply.

The French company, located in Querétaro, operates a facility with two main areas of focus: external and internal manufacturing. Its flagship products are engine mounts and maintenance and repair services for tooling—including new, used, and in-house tooling.

The company set up operations in the state in 2018 and continues to strengthen its presence there. For Dedienne, human talent and the supply chain are very important.

“We view this very positively and see it as a forward-looking opportunity that will benefit not only Dedienne but also the community, because more and more national and international companies are investing in and capitalizing on Querétaro—in other words, there is ongoing talent development, and the local supply chain is growing significantly stronger,” said the executive.

Today, about 30% of the French firm’s supply chain is domestic, and its goal is to increase this percentage.

“We are looking for various types of supplies and various types of suppliers; we are primarily focusing on machining and welding, but also on specialized material treatments, such as nickel and zinc plating. We are open to working with different types of suppliers,” he said.

Dedienne Aerospace has shared its requirements for joining its supply chain, where it will evaluate suppliers’ professionalism, responsiveness, and willingness to develop and grow alongside the company.
Regarding certifications, Edgar Torres recommended that suppliers obtain ISO 9001 certification, which opens the door to small, medium, and large companies

.
“To give these small, medium, and large companies the opportunity to enter the aerospace industry directly through us, we will provide them with all the support they need if they require any additional certifications,” he noted.

Torres explained that quality is non-negotiable and must be exceptional.
