E-commerce in Mexico grows 20% annually

The acceleration of e-commerce growth in Mexico is transforming the way companies compete, grow, and operate in the country; beyond the increase in digital sales, this dynamic is forcing retailers, marketplaces, and brands to rethink their strategies to respond to a more demanding, immediate, and ever-changing consumer.
E-commerce growth no longer depends solely on attracting demand, but on companies’ ability to sustain it and manage it efficiently. This involves coordinating inventory, orders, and channels under more integrated models, as well as evolving their capabilities to respond nimbly to changes in consumer behavior.
This pressure intensifies during peak demand seasons, when increases in traffic and orders can change abruptly within minutes. During these periods, logistics operations may see order processing volumes increase by 25% to 30% compared to standard levels, highlighting the need for structures capable of scaling up without losing control.
The ability to scale operations, adapt to demand, and maintain service consistency is a key factor enabling companies not only to participate in e-commerce growth but also to capitalize on it in a sustainable manner.
