EAM Mosca opens first plant in Nuevo Leon

EAM Mosca officially inaugurated its new plant in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, with an investment of US$8 million; this project marks a historic milestone as it becomes the group’s first strapping production facility in Mexico and Latin America.

After 23 years operating under a distribution model in the country, the company is evolving to become a local producer; and although it will continue to import European and Asian technology and machinery, the manufacturing of plastic strapping is now 100% based in Monterrey, which optimizes the supply chain for the region’s industrial and agricultural sectors.

The ceremony was attended by Timo Mosca, Simone Mosca, and Alfred Kugler, directors of the Mosca Group Board of Directors, who traveled from Germany to support this expansion and highlight the strategic role of Nuevo Leon in their global manufacturing network.

For his part, Jose Manuel Garcia, CEO of EAM Mosca Mexico, detailed in an interview the operational impact and future vision of this new era of local manufacturing, which joins the group’s production facilities in the United States, Canada, Germany, and Malaysia.

In Mexico, the company operated for more than two decades under a distribution model before consolidating its transition to local manufacturing with the opening of its new plant in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.
