Emirates increases frequencies on Mexico-Barcelona-Dubai route

MEXICO – Starting in September, Emirates will increase from three to five weekly flights on the Mexico-Barcelona-Dubai route. This will reopen connectivity and boost trade and tourism, the airline mentioned in a statement.

Flights will depart Mexico on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays aboard Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. The aircraft have 38 Business Class seats in a 2-2-2 configuration as well as 264 Economy Class seats.

In addition to Mexico City, travelers from ten other destinations in Mexico can connect to Emirates flights through its interline partnership with Aeromar.

Currently, Emirates has absolute exclusivity on the Mexico-Barcelona route, since Aeromexico has not yet reactivated its flight to this Spanish city due to the impact of the COVID-19 crisis.

Dubai is currently open to international business and leisure visitors. They only need to present a negative PCR test for COVID-19 that is no more than 72 hours old.
