Exports from Zacatecas Rise 12%

Exports from Zacatecas totaled an estimated US$1,5 billion during the second quarter of 2026, a 12.8% year-over-year increase, according to figures from the Quarterly Exports by State (ETEF) report by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Inegi), the state government reported.

Mining exports accounted for about 64% of the total, at US$957.9 million, followed by manufactured goods exports, at US$465.4 million, and agricultural exports, at US$24.1 million.

The agriculture and livestock sector posted a year-over-year increase of 23.2%, while mining grew by 14.9% and the manufacturing sector rose by 10.2%.

The Secretary of Economy, Jorge Miranda Castro, noted that export performance is a positive sign for the state’s economic activity and underscores the importance of continuing to strengthen the productive capacities of local businesses.

The official noted that the agency will continue to work in coordination with the productive sectors to promote investment, strengthen the supply chains, and create conditions that will allow the agency to expand its presence in domestic and international markets.
