FedEx Mexico continues to invest, now in Mexicali

MEXICALI — FedEx Express, announced the expansion of its infrastructure within Baja California and particularly in the city of Mexicali with the inauguration of a new station. The facility has 2,340 square meters, three platforms with simultaneous operation capacity and three custom-made accesses with the capacity to expand up to five. This feature allows serving up to 23 routes. Besides, there will be a FedEx Shipping Center that will facilitate the attention to all customers in the area. The geographical location of this new station will allow it to serve as a strategic link with Tijuana, Baja California Norte.

Mexicali stands out for its economic growth and export capacity. According to Consejo de Desarrollo EconĂłmico in this city, it generates more than 40 export items that currently exceed US$2.4 million per year. There are located more than 190 maquila companies where you can identify industries such as food, automotive, electronics, textiles, among others. The maquila sector has a monthly production value of US$100 million.
