Fibra Mty Takes Control of Fibra Macquarie

Real estate investment trust Fibra Mty, focused on the industrial and office sectors, has completed its deal with Macquarie Asset Management and Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets Holdings (MIRAH) to take over the management of Fibra Macquarie México to take over the managment.

Fibra Mty said the change is aimed at ensuring the continued operation of Fibra Macquarie during a transition aimed at preserving its operational and administrative stability.

“This Wednesday marked the closing of the transaction under the internalization agreement entered into between Fibra Mty, Macquarie Asset Management Mexico, and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets Holdings, as all the conditions precedent set forth in said internalization agreement have been satisfied,” the company said in a statement.

As a result, MAM's resignation as administrator of Fibra Macquarie México took effect, and the appointment of Fibra Mty as the new administrator of Fibra Macquarie went into effect.

The transaction will be followed by the delisting of Fibra Macquarie from the Mexican Stock Exchange, once the required 95% ownership threshold is exceeded. According to Fibra Mty, this is likely to occur during the first quarter of 2027, subject to the pace of regulatory approvals.

The company added that the internalization process, operating efficiencies, and economies of scale resulting from the merger with Fibra Macquarie are expected to support growth in its operating cash flow going forward
