The first BMW 3 Series sedans built at the San Luis Potosi plant will reportedly not include all the packages and features available as those manufactured in Germany, according to a new report by BMWBlog based on dealer bulletins.

Units from the facility located in Central Mexico will not feature the Luxury Package and the M Sport Package, as well as the Power Tailgate and Rear Seat Heating. In addition, the following exterior paint colors will not be offered: Glacier Silver Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, and Mediterranean Blue Metallic.

The first units are expected for delivery between April and May. As production ramps up, 3 Series built in San Luis Potosi will offer the same specs as the other plants. “Most likely the allocations will be routed to the right plant after the customer places an order, so this shouldn’t affect in any of the ordering process,” says the report.

Since demand is expected to be high, the seventh generation of the BMW 3 Series will be made at three factories: Munich, Germany; Shenyang, China; and in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
