Five-Year Investment in GAP Airports Moves Forward
The Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) is currently carrying out expansion and modernization projects at the 12 airports it manages and operates in Mexico. According to GAP CEO Raúl Revuelta Musalem, these projects are progressing on schedule and as planned, as is the group’s overall investment of nearly US$2.8 billion for the 2025–2029 five-year period.
“Last year, the investment totaled 12,000 million pesos, and we completed it on time and according to plan; this year, it’s 11,000 million pesos, and we’re also on track and making progress... This year, we’re literally carrying out construction work at all 12 airports,” the executive explained.
The first deliveries are expected to begin in March 2027 with the new terminal in Puerto Vallarta, a modern building with a floor area of 75,000 square meters.
Then, in 2028, Terminal 2 at Guadalajara International Airport is expected to be completed and handed over, along with the expansion of the Tijuana and Los Cabos airports.
“Everything is currently under construction, but we’ll really start seeing subsequent deliveries in 2027, 2028, and early 2029,” Revuelta Musalem said.
