Ford Adds a Touch of Adventure to the Mustang Mach-E
In order to remain relevant in an increasingly competitive market—such as the electric vehicle market—Ford will add significant upgrades to the Mustang Mach-E, its only offering in this niche, in terms of both performance and accessories.
The controversial four-door electric Mustang, produced in Cuautitlán, State of Mexico, will debut a new trim level for the 2027 model year called the Mustang Mach-E Trail, designed for those who enjoy off-road driving and outdoor experiences.
“We created the Mustang Mach-E Trail in response to customers who were looking for an electric vehicle that would fit an active lifestyle and provide them with greater confidence on the gravel and dirt roads leading to their favorite spots,” said Nick Rallis, chief engineer of Vehicle Integration for this program.
According to Rallis, this new package combines the electric performance and ease of use that customers expect and appreciate from the Mustang Mach-E with features specifically designed for the journey to the start of adventures—whether on trails, at campsites, or during water activities.
