GM Mexico Announces Leadership Changes

General Motors Mexico has announced new leadership appointments within its Customer Care and After-Sales team.

Starting November, Miguel González, currently Director of Sales Operations at GM Mexico, will assume the role of Director of Customer Care and After-Sales for GM Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. In this position, he will focus on further strengthening the customer experience and after-sales operations.

González will report to Esequiel Díaz, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for GM North America, and indirectly to Paco Garza, President and CEO of GM Mexico. And also is about to join the company's Mexico Executive Committee.

González will succeed Mario Romero, who, after more than four years leading the Customer Care and After-Sales Division in Mexico, will take on a new role as Director of Global Export Business Strategy. In this international assignment, Romero will join General Motors' operations in Shanghai, China, as part of the newly established Global Exports team, reporting directly to Ritch Schaafsma, Vice President of Exports for Global Markets.

Romero brings more than 30 years of experience at General Motors, having held various international positions at GM North America and GM Europe.

With these appointments, General Motors Mexico aims to continue enhancing the customer experience while leveraging its leadership talent to drive business growth in Mexico and international markets.
