GM Mexico Donates Three Chevrolets to Social Programs in Coahuila.

General Motors Mexico has announced the donation of three Chevrolet BrightDrop 600 SUVs, with the aim of improving mobility and expanding the service capacity of three institutions that offer social and support programs to communities in Coahuila. The three organizations receiving this donation are: the Secretariat for Citizen Engagement, the Coahuila System for Integral Family Development (DIF), and the Ramos Arizpe Municipal DIF.

“Ramos Arizpe has been a fundamental part of General Motors’ history in Mexico for more than four decades. With this donation, we want to thank the community for its trust and reaffirm our commitment to Mexico and the state of Coahuila,” said Paco Garza, President and CEO of GM Mexico. “We believe that sustainable mobility can transform lives by bringing services and support to those who need them most in a more efficient way and with less environmental impact. Today, with the Chevrolet BrightDrop, we are putting that capability to work for the communities of Coahuila.”

The donation aligns with GM's global vision of a world with zero collisions, zero fatalities, and zero traffic congestion, and is intended to support the communities where it operates as part of the company's corporate responsibility strategy through safer and more sustainable mobility solutions.

The Chevrolet BrightDrop 600 vehicles will be used for operational and community support tasks in the state, such as the distribution of supplies and logistical support for social programs. In addition, the Chevrolet Rivero Linda Vista dealership in Monterrey will provide maintenance services for the vehicles during the first 60,000 km.

Similarly, the leading company in electric mobility solutions would join the cause by donating the chargers needed to operate these vehicles, ensuring that they have adequate charging stations.

GM Mexico highlights its long-term commitment to the state of Coahuila and to Mexico, promoting initiatives to contribute to community development. Through these partnerships, the company seeks to demonstrate how sustainable mobility can serve as a tool to strengthen social programs and have a positive impact on people’s lives.
