Guanajuato Connects 10 MSMEs with a U.S. Buyer
Guanajuato has successfully connected 10 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the clothing, apparel, and accessories sector with the U.S. buyer Broughton Belts, following a business meeting held at the offices of the Guanajuato State Foreign Trade Promotion Agency (Cofoce), the state government announced.
The companies, which specialize in the manufacture of hats, belts, and leather goods, showcased their products, identified the items in demand in the U.S. market, and established new business ties.
According to information from the state government, the purpose of these meetings is to expand export opportunities, which could have an impact on the creation and retention of jobs, as well as on the operations of workshops, suppliers, and logistics services linked to the production chain.
Randy Broughton, owner of Broughton Belts, said he chose to partner with Guanajuato after conducting a review of the Mexican market; he explained that he is looking for direct suppliers with high-quality products. He also mentioned that he plans to visit the factories of the participating companies in the future.
