Guanajuato recorded $658 million in product exports

Guanajuato exported traditional products worth more than US$658 million during the first half of 2026, the state government reported.

Boots took first place, with US$303.4 million, followed by fresh chilies at US$211.9 million. Also notable were tortillas, tacos, and tostadas at US$44.8 million; guacamole and sauces at US$43.3 million; and hats at US$34.9 million.

Meanwhile, sales of ceramic decorations reached US$12.5 million, mole figurines totaled US$731,000, and piñatas totaled US$16,800.

According to government data, these items are sold in various countries, including the United States, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Australia, Colombia, and Estonia.

Meanwhile, tequila generated US$7.3 million in export sales, with the United States, Singapore, and the Netherlands as the main buyers, while mezcal totaled US$80,900, with its main export destinations being the United States, Singapore, and Germany.
