Hutchison Ports Mexico: Investing to expand logistics capacity

Hutchison Ports Mexico presented its key growth projects in the country to clients, importers, exporters, and industry representatives during the Hutchison Summit 2026 in Mexico City.
The company outlined a strategy focused on strengthening national logistics competitiveness through investment, technological innovation, operational expansion, and sustainability. The company is implementing a modernization program aimed at increasing its operational capacity by up to 60% through terminal expansion, the adoption of new technologies, and infrastructure optimization.
The strategic projects currently underway represent a cumulative investment of US$1.2 billion; among these, the expansion of Hutchison Ports LCT in Lazaro Cardenas—adding 28 hectares and 345 meters of wharf—and Hutchison Ports ICAVE in Veracruz stand out.
The company also announced new investments to strengthen operations in Ensenada, Manzanillo, and Hidalgo, with the aim of increasing productivity and meeting the growing demand resulting from nearshoring and global supply chains.
